Everything To know About Nicole Curtis' New HGTV Show Rehab Addict Rescue

0

HGTV has announced that its star from Rehab Addict, Nicole Curtis, is going to be back with a new series based on the original in the New Year. Titled Rehab Addict Rescue, the show will give Curtis a new platform to show off her handy skills. Curtis, a self-taught home rehabber and designer, has provided viewers with a whole new look at what it means to tackle projects around the house.

Curtis is an expert at not only redesigning homes but selecting reusable items that can be restored to their former glory. She is an advocate for saving old houses and rebuilding communities that need it most. Curtis is also renowned for being hands-on with all of her projects, giving viewers a “can-do” attitude as they approach their own projects. In her original Rehab Addict show, Curtis utilized her experience in interior design, contracting, and real estate to help neighborhoods around the Detroit and Minneapolis areas.

Now, HGTV reports that Curtis is ready to rescue homeowners once again on Rehab Addict Rescue, a spinoff of sorts that will be debuting on January 28 at 9 p.m. ET. The eight-episode series will center around Curtis, whose mission is to help homeowners who have gotten in over their heads with renovation projects. In each episode, she will identify homes’ must-haves, whether it be electrical wiring, updated plumbing, or structural repairs. Then, she will use the leftover budget to take on cosmetic updates to the properties as the homeowners see fit.

While speaking to HGTV, Curtis shared that she is extremely happy that she’ll be able to save more stately places than ever before. As a part of her career, she has enjoyed restoring numerous homes across the country, but specifically in her hometown of Detroit, Mich. Now, she’ll be able to help distraught homeowners with their own projects as they look to develop the properties of their dreams.

There is a slew of home makeover shows on television, which leads one to wonder what will make this one different. Perhaps the fact that Curtis will be working on her own (albeit with a team of designers), rather than with a partner, will give the show an edge. It would also seem that HGTV is banking on Curtis’ personality and style to take the show to the next level. If the previous success of Rehab Addict is any indication, Rehab Addict Rescue will likely do just fine.
