Tottenham handed favourable Carabao Cup draw

Tottenham took a giant step towards ending their 13-year wait for a major trophy following a 3-1 win over Stoke City in the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup.
Spurs haven’t lifted silverware since winning this competition against Chelsea back in 2008, but made the perfect start when Gareth Bale headed Jose Mourinho’s side into a 22nd-minute lead.
Jordan Thompson equalised for Stoke, although Tottenham responded twice in the final 20 minutes through Ben Davies and Harry Kane to secure their passage into the semi-finals for the third time in seven seasons.
