UConn freshman guard Andre Jackson suffered a broken bone in his left wrist, the school announced Wednesday.

There is no set timetable for Jackson’s return.

UConn coach Dan Hurley said on a Zoom call he wasn’t certain how the injury happened, but that it may have occurred during a light workout on Monday after Sunday’s overtime loss to Creighton.

“We’re kind of trying to figure it out off the practice film,” Hurley said. “We didn’t go live, it must’ve happened in skill-work or dunking.”

The 6-foot-6 native of Amsterdam, N.Y. is averaging 1.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists through four games.

UConn’s next scheduled game is Dec. 30 against DePaul. The Huskies (3-1, 0-1 Big East) have had two pauses due to COVID-19.
