San Jose: Bicyclist killed in collision with vehicle

SAN JOSE – A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in South San Jose on Wednesday night, police said.

The crash was reported about 7:35 p.m. at Monterey Road and Palm Avenue, the San Jose Police Department said in a tweet. No other information was immediately available.

The death marks the city’s 46th traffic fatality of the year.

Northbound Monterey Road was closed between Live Oak and Palm avenues for an investigation.
