Jeff Probst has been the host throughout the entire run of Survivor. The fans have grown to love him as he has become a part of the Survivor family, but eventually, his reign as the host of the show will possibly come to an end. No one is certain as to when that will be, but many fans already have a few former contestants in mind that they believe could take over as the host.
According to fans on Reddit, if the producers do pick a new Survivor host in the near future, it'd be exciting if they made it a notable former player in the series. Not only do former players know the game inside and out, but a lot of them have also gone into showbiz, including as hosts of different shows. With fans already having names in mind, anything could happen when Jeff decides to hang up his duty as host of the series.
Among the former players that the fans want to host Survivor one day is Rob Mariano, also known as Boston Rob. Now married and parents to four children, Rob and his wife Amber met on Survivor: All-Stars. Although fans would like to see him take over for Jeff one day, it seems somewhat unclear if Rob would do it, as he now has a family. With that said, he was just on Winners At War, so maybe he would indeed return to host the show if he was ever asked.

Other notable contestants that the Survivor fans would like to see replacing Jeff one day are John Cochran (South Pacific, Caramoan), Andrea Boehlke (Redemption Island, Caramoan, Game Changers), Parvati Shallow (Cook Islands, Micronesia, Heroes VS. Willians, Winners At War), and Malcolm Freburg (Philippines, Caramoan, Game Changers). Despite being what the fans want, the producers may choose to go an entirely different route to pick a new host if Jeff ever leaves the show, so only time can tell what's going to happen.
Survivor has been hosted by Jeff Probst since season 1, and he even received a few Emmys for his performance on the show. But the fans do expect that he will want to stop hosting the series when he gets older. Nonetheless, for now, it seems safe to say that Jeff will be returning as the host when the show goes back on the air following this COVID-19-related hiatus.
