Popular Streamer Shroud Hopes Cyberpunk 2077 Is Dead Within A Month
Popular Twitch streamer Shroud has recently come out saying that he wants Cyberpunk 2077 to die within a month – but apparently for a different reason than other fans do. Recently during a stream at the beginning of December, Shroud talked openly about how excited he was for the new RPG and what CD Projekt Red would bring to the table in terms of next-gen gaming, but wanted the game to die for a completely different reason than other fans have been saying as of the release of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10th to mixed reviews from players. While some were enjoying it on the next-gen consoles and PC, others were having serious issues with playing the game on PlayStation 4's and Xbox One's saying that they experienced bugs, glitches, and certain graphics that made the game unplayable. The game came under so much controversy that PlayStation ended up removing it completely from their online store, stating that they wanted to make sure that the game was fixed before being put back on it. There hasn't been any plan to remove it from the Xbox online store yet.
Shroud, however, who has been enjoying the game, said earlier on before its release that he wanted the game to die quickly (via The Gamer). But not for the many reasons players would expect, considering many have been having problems with its performance. Shroud said that he doesn't wish to play it for too long, stating that because it's a single-player game, he didn't want to spend his "whole life playing it." He also went on to say that he wants to spend "just enough time and then get out" of Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 is known to have many side-quests and journeys to do on the side, even ways in which players can grow attachments and romances to certain characters, so that would certainly add to the game's runtime. The standard time of completion is 30-40 hours, but if players plan to do the many side-quests that can add on multiple hours of play.
Even so, some players have yet to even complete the game as the glitches have been so bad and horrible to play through. CD Projekt Red says it is going to update the glitches as they are reported to the studio, but many players are requesting refunds for payment of what they've had to experience. With how most player performance has been reported, Cyberpunk 2077 will most likely get its death sooner than most expected.
