Ever since making his big-screen debut in the 1997 crime thriller One Eight Seven, popular Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man (aka Clifford Smith) has appeared in roughly 50 feature films and more than a dozen television shows. He can currently be seen in Netflix's Vampires Vs The Bronx as well as the Starz original series Power Book II: Ghost.
In 2021, Method Man is poised to appear in James DeMonaco's coming-of-age tale Once Upon a Time in Staten Island, as well as the action-thriller, Last Looks.

Just prior to landing a guest-starring role on HBO's hit prison drama Oz, Meth briefly appeared in Val Lik's 2000 urban drama, Boriqua's Bond. The film stars Frankie Negron as Tommy, a Latino in the Bronx who befriends a new white resident named Allen (Lik).
When Allen gets bullied in the neighborhood, Tommy takes it upon himself to protect the kid from further harassment. However, things take a turn for the worst when a dirty cop makes their life a living hell after Allen's mother rejects his sexual advances.

Although it's one of his lowest-rated movies to date, Method Man plays against type in Dennis Cooper's dramatic rom-com, The Heart Specialist. Instead of a crooked cop or criminal, he plays Lorenzo, the happy-go-lucky potential romantic interest of Nurse Donna Jackson (Zoe Saldana).
The film centers on Dr. Ray Howard (Brian White), a philandering doctor who is rehabilitated by Dr. Zachary (Wood Harris) upon relocating to Florida to work at a new hospital.

Along with Kevin Hart, Tom Arnold, Snoop Dog, and several others, Method Man partook in the 2004 comedy, Soul Plane. Hart plays Nashawn Wade, a passenger who creates his own airline following a lucrative lawsuit.
With his new airline intact, Wade throws an epic bash in the skies as several passengers enjoy loud music, sex, alcohol, and a slew of unadulterated fun. Despite the low-rating, the film has become a minor cult-classic among some circles.

Upon returning to work, Garfield vows to stand up for himself and show his students who's boss. Meth plays Dennis Broadway, a gangster who attacks and threatens to murder Garfield over a failing grade.

The second film released in 1997 to feature Method Man was Cop Land, James Mangold's gritty tale of corrupt cops commingling with the mafia in New Jersey. Meth plays Shondel, a hardened street criminal who nearly throws Officer Randone (Peter Berg) off a building.
Plot-wise, the film traces Officer Freddy Heflin (Sylvester Stallone), a disrespected cop, who slowly works to uncover widespread corruption in his New Jersey town.

Jonathan Levine's The Wackness is a celebration of the 90s-era of boom-bap hip-hop, in which Method Man is cast as a jovial Jamaican weed dealer named Percy. In one scene, Meth appears while one of his own rap songs plays in the background.
The film follows Luke (Josh Peck), a hip-hop loving teenager in 1994 New York who procures weed from Percy to sell on the streets. When Luke isn't listening to hip-hop, he's falling for Stephanie (Olivia Thirlby), the daughter of his troubled psychiatrist Dr. Squires (Ben Kingsley).
