Kuwait shutters churches, bans gatherings till Jan 10

KUWAIT: The Cabinet yesterday decided to close all Christian places of worship and ban all gatherings to celebrate Christmas and New Year in a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The ban continues from Dec 24, 2020 to Jan 10, 2021 a statement by the Cabinet said. The Council of Ministers appealed to all citizens and expats to continue to comply with health measures and observe social distancing.
