Three-time Survivor contestant, Colby Donaldson, is one of the most recognizable names to come out of the reality competition series. He is one of a few people to compete on Survivor three times, but never received the title of sole survivor. Survivor follows twenty contestants taken to a remote island left to fend for themselves and compete in challenges for a grand prize of $1,000,000. The CBS reality show has a devoted fan base, as it has lasted twenty years and 40 seasons. One of its best was season 20.
Colby competed on the second season of Survivor: The Australian Outback nearly two decades ago, back in 2001. He dominated in many of the challenges, but ultimately lost to Tina Wesson by one vote, becoming the second runner up in the show's history. He returned to the show in season eight, its first all-stars season, but was voted out in twelfth place due to others' fear of his strength in challenges. His last appearance on the show was the twentieth season, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. Colby was on the Heroes tribe because of his likability and kindness on both of his previous seasons. This time he lasted 37 days, but was eventually voted out and made a member of the jury.
It has been over a decade since the 46-year-old last appeared on Survivor, but he has kept himself quite busy. From 2010-2013, Colby Donaldson became presenter and host of a History Channel competition series called Top Shot. It had contestants competing in marksmanship challenges with various weapons before declaring the top shot every season. This show lasted for five seasons, and a spin-off series was created. The spinoff, Top Guns, was also hosted by Colby, though it only lasted one season.

In 2016, Colby got married to long-time girlfriend Britt Bailey. The Texas native always showed a love for his home state on Survivor and he has stayed true to his roots, residing in Austin, Texas. The pair have an 11-year-old daughter, Brinley, who makes frequent appearances on their Instagram.
Colby has also interviewed celebrities such as Dwayne Johnson. Lately, he has been promoting two shows he is hosting for History Channel, The Butcher and Alone. The Butcher pits the country's best butchers against each other and the winning contestant receives $10,000. He is hosting season 7 of long-running series, Alone. This series follows 10 survivalists who have to put their skills to the test as they are isolated from everything and everyone, even the other contestants. The winner takes home $500,000. He is the perfect man to host the show as he has experience from Survivor living in the wilderness and surviving off the land.
When he's not hosting various TV shows, Colby is spending time with his family and working on some passion projects such as auto restoration. He also owns a company called Axis Design where he builds everything from bridges to desks. He has always loved cars and is currently shooting a GMC truck campaign. Fans will be glad to know he has been following his passions since leaving Survivor over a decade ago.
