The Mandalorian: 10 Coolest Guest Characters | ScreenRant
The Mandalorian has brought many beloved Star Wars characters as well as introducing some new ones. Here are the series' coolest guest characters.
If there's one show worth buying a Disney+ membership for, it's The Mandalorian. Not only is this space-western Star Wars spinoff worthy of all the acclaim it has received this year, but it features more than a handful of tremendous talent behind its cast list.
Pedro Pascall and the likes of Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, and Gina Carano all fill out the main cast with some serious acting chops, but fans would be amiss to not acknowledge the powerhouse of actors that make up the guest list in the series. From popular comedians and Disney mainstays to Star Wars alumni, there are more than a few familiar faces.
10 Adam Pally and Jason Sudeikis as the Scout Troopers

Comedy relief can be a powerful tool, and in the final conflict of the show's first season, getting some SNL alumni on the cast list is some seriously smart thinking. Enter Adam Pally and Jason Sudeikis in sets of Storm Trooper armor to break up the heaviness of season 1's final battle.
Fans might not take too kindly to them capturing and manhandling the Child like they do, but they definitely stand out amongst some of the other troops.
9 John Leguizamo as Gor Koresh

Some of the best cameos are the ones hidden by mountains of SFX makeup, and John Leguizamo as Gor Koresh is up there with Simon Pegg as Unkar Plutt in The Force Awakens. Leguizamo vanishes entirely into the sleazy gangster character, and the creature work is fantastic.
Jabba the Hutt he might not be, but Gor Koresh is just as vicious. Sometimes, it's fun to see villainous scum devoured by red-eyed space vermin.
8 Bill Burr as Migs Mayfeld

What started off as an unusual casting choice in chapter 4 became a powerful player before season 2's grand finale. Anyone familiar with Burr's material knows about his verbal slaughter of the Star-Wars series. So it's honestly odd to see him as a pivotal player in the universe.
That being said, Mayfeld is a very interesting addition to the mythos. Especially when his background is further expanded on in the second season.
7 Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand

Ever wonder what would happen if Mulan traded in life as the hero of ancient China for one as a sharp-shooting bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away? The answer, Fennec Shand. Ming-Na Wen brings this skilled assassin to life with cold and calculating skills.
If that wasn't enough, her cybernetic upgrades thanks to her new friend, Boba Fett, will definitely make her one tough customer in the next season.
6 Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze

Sci-fi maven Katee Sackoff has traded in Battlestar Galactica for Star-Wars with her live-action portrayal of her Clone Wars counterpart. Fans of the prequel series spinoff definitely got some serious fan service when Bo-Katan first arrived on the scene with her blue-plated minions in tow.
While she might feel more at home on the Syfy network than on Disney+, fans have certainly welcomed her to the galaxy with open arms.
5 Werner Herzog as The Client

If a movie or show ever needs a scary guy with a thick German accent, Werner Herzog is the definitive example. His performance as the mysterious Client might have been short-lived, but it was certainly unforgettable.
The prolific performer and filmmaker is no stranger to the sci-fi genre, having appeared in Rick and Morty and What Dreams May Come, so it's quite a feat to have him immortalized in Star Wars.
4 Taika Waititi as IG-11

IG-11 is one of the most awkwardly funny and memorable characters in the first season, largely thanks to the performance of writer and director, Taika Waititi. Turns out the guy not only possesses the ability to create a solid Thor sequel but also plays an assassin turned nanny in the Star-Wars universe.
Granted, the single-minded droid is exceptionally funnier (and deadlier) at the end of season one, but even after his noble sacrifice, one can't help but want to see him again.
3 Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano is a fan-favorite of the galaxy far, far, away. Making her debut in the Clone Wars saga, a live-action version of Anakin Skywalker's padawan has been long overdue for some time.
Rosario Dawson not only beautifully brings Ahsoka to life, but her performance provides the character with a sense of mastered strength she would have after the events of the animated series.
2 Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett

To be completely frank, everyone is still wondering how the guy managed to escape the Sarlacc pit. Details aside, Temuera Morrison brings back a familiar face of the series in more ways than one. Known for his role as Jango Fett in the prequels, Temuera dons the armor again for The Mandalorian as the infamous Boba Fett.
Though his appearance only lasted for three episodes, it came with the promise that Boba will return in the new season, much to fans' anticipation.
1 Mark Hamill as EV-9D9 and Luke Skywalker

It's two for the price of one with this entry because while there was plenty of oohing and ahhing at Luke Skywalker's surprise appearance in the season finale, Mark Hamill also played a rather overlooked character by the name of EV-9D9, a droid last seen in Episode VI, tending the bar at the beginning of the second season.
Though there might be some dispute over the de-aging effects on Master Skywalker's appearance at the finale's ending, it was still a perfect way to cap off an amazing adventure.
