The Real Housewives Of Dallas: The 10 Best Storylines, Ranked
No matter the location, Bravo's franchise always brings the best drama. The Real Housewives Of Dallas, in particular, showcased great storylines!
Bravo's hit reality television franchise, The Real Housewives, is known for bringing beautiful women and their drama to television sets all over the country. It doesn't matter where the housewives call home; whether it is New York, Orange County, Atlanta, or Salt Lake City, they always have a few commonalities. Regardless of geography, there is bound to be a season full of glamour, catfights, booze, and tears.
The housewives in Dallas, Texas, remind us season after season that everything is bigger in Texas. The parties are grand and ostentatious, the outfits are bold and outrageous, and the drama is on a whole other level. It's hard to narrow down the best storylines to ever come out of The Real Housewives of Dallas, but we have managed. Here are ten of the most jaw-dropping lines in Dallas Housewife history.
10 Brandi's Surprise Baby
When fans first met Brandi Redmond, she and her hubby were raising two spirited little ladies in The Lonestar State. Brandy was best known for her ability to have words fall out of her lips without thinking and have alcohol tumble into her mouth at rapid speed. Viewers also saw her devotion to her family, and she longed for another baby.
Thanks to a social worker connection, Brandy was able to expand her family and adopt a son. The Redmonds revealed their big news at a giant, over the top party. Baby Bruin wasn't the end of their family-building journey, however, as Brandy announced that she is expecting baby number four this past fall.
9 Leanne's Road To The Altar
Leanne Locken is finally a married woman! The road to being a Mrs. was a long and winding one, and it ended up being one of the very best storylines to ever come out of Dallas.
Leanne's desire to marry Rich was constant in recent seasons, and when he finally proposed, fans got their fair share of bridezilla drama, wedding party woes, and so much shade. The wedding took Leanne to all-new levels of All About Me syndrome.
8 The Gift Of Home
There are some things that you just don't go out and purchase without your spouse's input. These things include pets, mattresses, and homes. However, Travis Hollman didn't get this message because he surprised Stephanie with a big old mansion.
Bonus: the mansion had a swimming pool in the middle of it! Stephanie took the surprise five million dollar purchase in stride, even though the house wasn't her top choice to live in. These are seriously rich people's problems.
7 Stephanie Shares Her Mental Health Condition
Stephanie Hollman always came across as the bubbly, happy, silly sidekick to Brandy Redmond. She seemed to live life as if she didn't have a care in the world, and judging from her lifestyle, viewers assumed that cares and woes didn't really exist in Stephanie's universe.
Stephanie chose to reveal her struggle with depression and the state of her mental health with viewers and fans. It was a bold storyline but one of the best because it made her human and vulnerable and put the important discussion surrounding mental health at the forefront of a popular show.
6 D'Andra's Momma Drama
Lots of folks have momma drama, but D'Andra Simmon's squabbles with her overbearing and over-the-top mother are almost more than we can handle. Every season gives fans a hefty dose of issues between the two ladies.
D'Andra clearly wants her mother's love and the keys to the family business and fortune, and mother dearest loves nothing more than dangling them in front of her and taking them away. The culminating moment was when D'Andra finally got the business in her grasp, only to discover that her mother had run it to the ground.
5 Kam Is Queen Of Dog Food
Kam Wescott comes off as the primmest and proper of the high society ladies. Everything about her is perfection and class, so it is amazing that her primary story arc throughout the seasons revolves around Kam's quest to create the perfect dog food.
Not caviar, not champagne...dog food. Sparkle Dog is Kam's passion, and she really thinks that it is going to be the next big thing in pet care. Judging from her husband's reactions to her dog dreams, she might be the only Wescott who gets giddy over pink dog food.
4 Leanne's Accusations About Cary's Husband
Leanne just could not stand her former housewife castmate Cary Deuber's marital happiness, so she decided to step in and create some drama and turmoil. This is what Leanne does. She makes drama where there is literally none. She shot her venom at Cary's husband, saying that he was getting jiggy with other men behind Cary's back.
Cary and really everyone was appalled at Leanne's accusations, especially as they were completely unfounded. Watching Leanne muddle through this blunder was epic and a favorite moment for fans.
3 Stephanie Overboard
When any housewives go on a girls' getaway, there is bound to be drinking, yelling, crying, and drama. The Dallas gang headed south of the border and managed to pack all of those things into a few days, but they also squeezed in a less-than-pleasant boat ride.
What was supposed to be fun and breezy turned into torturous and queasy. Stephanie was so motion-sick that she ended up tossing cookies over the edge, sending all the ladies (except iron-stomached Brandy) into Sour-Stomach-ville.
2 Leanne's Foot Finds It's Way Into Her Mouth
Leanne has a tendency to let her words and emotions fly, and sometimes the things she says are appalling and shocking to even those who know her best. When she yelled culturally insensitive comments in newcomer Kary Brittingham's direction, everyone had jaws on the ground.
This was over the top rude even for Leanne Locken. The rest of this story arc followed Leanne's path to redemption with Kary because she certainly had a lot of apologizing to do.
1 Brandi And Stephanie Forever
Brandy and Stephanie's friendship is hands-down one of the best storylines to come out of Dallas or any Real Housewife installment because it is so sweet and genuine. With many of the ladies are friends for a season or pretend friends in front of the camera, Steph and Brandy have each other's backs no matter what.
Their friendship isn't dramatic, but it is hilarious and heartfelt, and we could watch these two be silly and funny all day long.
