WandaVision fan art honors the main couple's comic book origins while looking ahead to the future. In just over two weeks, WandaVision will become the first Marvel series to premiere on Disney+ and the first project from Phase 4 to be released. Now that Marvel has officially skipped out on 2020, anticipation for WandaVision is at an all-time high. With its sitcom-inspired premise and a slew of mysteries baked into the story, WandaVision is shaping up to be one of the most unique Marvel projects in recent memory.
Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, WandaVision follows the unlikely couple of Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they settle down in the idyllic town of Westview. Like something straight out of a 1950s sitcom, life seems perfect for these two. However, not everything is as it seems, and soon the cracks begin to show in their domesticity. In addition to Olsen and Bettany, WandaVision stars Kathryn Hahn as nosy neighbor Agnes, Teyonah Parris as a grown Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo.
To celebrate WandaVision's impending arrival, artist John Black has designed a unique print for the series that combines it with the comic books it draws from. Using WandaVision's first poster as a blueprint, the image puts Wanda and Vision's traditional comic book appearances - straight from The Vision and the Scarlet Witch - side by side with their MCU looks. Much like the actual poster, this is a case of past meeting present. Check it out below.
The specific use of the Vision and the Scarlet Witch cover makes perfect sense in relation to WandaVision, since that is the run where Wanda and Vision have twins. The trailers for WandaVision have teased the arrival of their magical children, though it remains to be seen what role they will play in the MCU going forward. Much of WandaVision remains a mystery for fans to uncover, and it'll be interesting to see how everything comes together.
Fans have speculated for a while now about what comics runs will be represented in WandaVision. Aside from The Vision and the Scarlet Witch, many have wondered if this will be the MCU's version of the House of M storyline, or if it could perhaps lead to it.
