Jihoon Lee from 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way has finally acknowledged a GoFundMe campaign in his latest Instagram post, which was started by a fan.
Since the show has ended, Jihoon has made it known that he was not proud of how he acted or how he was portrayed. However, he has expressed that he wants to do better, but he has claimed that his soon-to-be ex-wife never gave him a chance. Deavan Clegg and Jihoon are currently embroiled in a nasty abuse allegation and custody battle.
Jihoon is fighting for his son's life, and fans are helping him by starting a fundraiser to help him win his son's custody. He recently took to his Instagram to recognize his major supporter, Amanda Grayce Crosby, for swinging into action and setting up the fundraiser.
Screen Rant had a chance to speak with Amanda and asked why she felt Jihoon's cause was so important to her. The helpful friend told us that she "started the Gofundme for two reasons. One, because fathers have rights too. Regardless of what people's impression is of Jihoon, he has a right to be in his son's life. Second, the allegations against him are only just that, but he has a right to legal counsel and to come here and defend himself." Many have questioned the legitimacy of her fundraiser, but Amanda had been claiming for weeks that she was waiting on GoFund Me to verify the process. Supporters are hoping to raise $50,000 to help with the legal costs and travel fees for Jihoon to stand and fight in court. Jihoon finally solidified that he was, in fact, working with Amanda and the fundraiser was no scam. In a post, he shared a picture of himself and his son, saying, "Hello. This is Jihoon. I am overwhelmed with the support I received in getting the opportunity to be in my son's life. I have made mistakes, but I am trying to improve for the future. I appreciate all that are willing to help me see my son. If you are able to donate to the go fund me set up for me and Taeyang, I thank you, and if not, I still thank you for your support. @amandagraycecrosby has my permission to administer the go fund me account with her team as funds are raised to facilitate a trust with an attorney to represent me."
Even if though the comments have been disabled, it seems that Jihoon has said his peace. The reality stars statement should put an end to anyone questioning the validity of the fundraiser. Deavan has yet to comment but is still moving forward with her new life and new, upgraded, Korean boyfriend.
90 Day Fiance airs on Sunday at 8pm EST on TLC.
