THE Pembrokeshire Murders fans were left swooning over ‘proper fit’ Luke Evans in a cheeky underwear scene.

The ITV drama deals with the real life case of John Cooper, who committed two double murders in Pembrokeshire in the 1980s but wasn’t caught and convicted until 2011.

Luke, 41, plays DS Steve Wilkins, who reopened the cold case in 2006, and while it is a serious role, he managed to give viewers some light relief in the opening moments of Monday’s episode.

The hunky actor was seen in his boxers and T-shirt ironing his shirts ready for work, and it left some viewers hot under the collar immediately.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Luke Evans ironing in his pants is the pick me up 2021 needed.”

Another tweeted: “Luke Evans is proper fit like.”

A third added: “Sound about 16 saying this but how f***ing fit is Luke evans #pembrokeshiremurders.”

Meanwhile a fourth wrote “How am I meant to concentrate on what’s going when I’m staring at Luke Evans? It’s literally impossible.”

A fellow fan tweeted: “Luke evans peachy bum ironing his shirts.”

John Cooper murdered siblings Richard and Helen Thomas in 1985 and then Peter and Gwenda Dixon four years later.

Luke has admitted he was not only shocked by the nature of John’s crimes, but by how badly he treated his wife Pat and son, Andrew.

“Just to know the other part of John Cooper’s life, you know, not just the fact of the people that he murdered brutally, and in a shocking manner, but also what he did within the four walls of his own house to his wife and his son.

“I mean, it just makes my skin crawl what this man went through so it’s really important that Andrew’s story is told within the whole story.”

The Pembrokeshire Murders continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
