Heed safety protocols even with vaccine jabs

The first goal of the vaccine is to “save lives and protect the vulnerable” as reminded by World Health Organisation emergencies programme head Dr Mike Ryan. And with warnings of the existence of a new Covid-19 variant ‘VUI - 202012/01’, which is said to be more transmissible, the need to wear a face mask, wash hands and practise physical distancing remains ever more critical.
