Premier League announce 16 positive coronavirus cases in latest two rounds of testing in drop of 20 on last week

PREMIER LEAGUE bosses have confirmed 16 new positive tests for coronavirus in the past week.

The figure represents a drop of 20 cases on the previous week, amid the pandemic mayhem on fixture schedules.

On Monday afternoon, the league announced a total of 3,115 players and staff were tested between January 11 and 17.

All those who have tested positive and their close contacts have been instructed to self-isolate.
