WandaVision Posters Show B&W Scarlet Witch & Vision In Color
They might have been black and white before, but two new WandaVision posters bring some color to Scarlet Witch and Vision's old fashioned personas.
New WandaVision posters show leading couple Scarlet Witch and Vision's black and white selves in color. After a 2020 that was largely devoid of Marvel content, fans were eagerly anticipating the arrival of WandaVision. The sitcom-inspired series finally debuted the first two episodes last weekend and ushered in a new era for Marvel as the first show made for Disney+. WandaVision picks up with Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda and Paul Bettany's Vision following the events of Avengers: Endgame and puts them in a very strange situation. For one thing, they're living a life straight from a classic sitcom.
The first two installments of WandaVision introduce audiences to Wanda and Vision's idyllic Westview life, complete with meaningless jobs and town talent shows. For those expecting a typical, action-packed MCU outing, WandaVision took them by surprise with relatively simple premises and a black and white color palette. Of course, not everything is as it seems, and WandaVision has already dropped plenty of hints that something is amiss within Westview. For the time being, though, fans will be left to speculate, as answers will surely take their time in emerging.
Fresh off WandaVision's two-episode premiere, Marvel Studios has revealed a couple of new posters designed in the style of those early installments. This time, however, Wanda and Vision have been rendered in full color. It's an interesting spin on the posters from decades past, which might be in color even if the movie/show was black and white. Check them out down below.
Despite the wholesome appearance of these posters, they have details that hint at ominous secrets. For example, Scarlet Witch's sheet features the line "A signal so smooth... you'll think you're in a dream," which could be in reference to Westview being a giant illusion. Numerous theories have popped up about the origins of the town, ranging from Wanda being the creator to someone more nefarious having a hand in this reality-twisting prison. Regardless of where it came from, though, it's very clear that Westview is something out of Wanda's deepest dreams, as it gives her and the deceased Vision the opportunity to live out a peaceful life together.
With seven episodes to go, one can expect WandaVision to provide many new twists and turns in the coming weeks. The first two episodes of WandaVision got off to relatively slow start, indicating there will be quite the slow burn mystery ahead. With each new episode and teaser, there are more clues to pore over, so fans better prepare themselves for this week's installment. It might provide answers, it might leave more questions, but it will certainly be another fun spin on a familiar sitcom.
WandaVision continues on Fridays on Disney+.
