True Jackson, VP: Ranking The Characters Based On Likability

0

A show that many still say ended too early, Nickelodeon's True Jackson, VP  was easily relatable, efficiently inspirational, and fun to watch overall. Watching a teenager (True, played by the talented actor, Keke Palmer) get a dream job while working alongside a bunch of adults transformed many kids' mindsets. The storyline encouraged viewers to pursue what they wanted, just as the famous TV channel constantly strives to instill in its audiences.

The characters of True Jackson, VP added a new flavor of comedy, with a clear balance of unique, comical wit between the adolescent and the adult characters emphasized. Each individual provided their own taste to the show and thus garnered more fans for each character. However, with every favorite, there's always a less-admired character out of the whole cast.

10 Amanda

This is probably a given because of Amanda's (Danielle Bisutti) determination to get True fired from Mad Style. It was strenuously difficult to appreciate Amanda's character, even though she ultimately wasn't 100% evil and had her funny moments.

She still, nevertheless, was the typical adult character that looked down on True and her friends for their age. There were times when the teens got themselves into some pretty dumb situations, so Amanda's frustration was justified but she didn't have the right to set her sights on getting True fired right from the start.

9 Pinky

Played by the multi-talented and incredible, Jennette McCurdy, who is better known from her iCarly days, Pinky was easy to dislike due to her cliquey and crude behavior.

As the leader of "The Pinks" from True's high school, Pinky didn't hesitate to hover over True and even got hired by Amanda to worsen that distraction. Even if viewers can't really remember who she was, most wouldn't forget the image of the girl roller-skating around Mad Style's office floor.

8 Kelsey

Perhaps she should have had a little more screen time for viewers to decide if they liked her or not, but Kelsey's (Jordan Monaghan) character didn't do much for the whole group, except for Ryan (Matt Shively), of course.

As his crush, she was often asked out by him and even saved his life one time. That was definitely a grand gesture and a reflection of who she was as a person. Saving someone's life definitely equates to being courageous and selfless. If only Kelsey and Ryan's relationship grew a little more, perhaps fans would have been able to form a stronger opinion about her.

7 Jimmy

Fans can agree that Jimmy (Robbie Amell) wasn't a mean character, but he had his drawbacks. Before he and True started dating, viewers didn't get to know Max Madigan's cute nephew until time went on.

Some forgot about the episode when True really wanted to go to the dance with Jimmy, but he instead asked Vivian (Victoria Justice), who was a model, to the dance. What a waste of time that was for Jimmy, not to mention True! It was obvious that he and True were already attracted to one another, so his choice to ask out Vivian felt like a low-blow.

6 Max Madigan

Max (Greg Propps) was that boss that everyone wanted when they grew up. Not only did he give a teenager the chance of a lifetime, but he also brought a more open-minded and lighthearted demeanor to work every day.

The only times when viewers saw some unlikable traits in Max was when he chose to constantly keep hating on Kopelman. While one time it was hilarious to see Kopelman literally get ejected from the meeting room floor after he expected something to fall on him from above, fans still couldn't resist but notice that this was a pretty evil thing to do on Max's part.

5 Mikey J

Although Mikey J (Trevor Brown) wasn't as well-known as the others in the cast, he was probably one of the nicest characters, and therefore one of the easiest to like.

He was Lulu's boyfriend and really showed viewers what good boyfriend-material looks like. Mikey J wrote Lulu (Ashely Argota) a song and even threw a party for her. In terms of being her boyfriend, Mikey J went above and beyond with his generosity and also through his shy attitude. It was difficult for fans to find even one trait of his that wasn't admirable.

4 Ryan

Ryan was definitely 'Ridonkulous," but always meant well. His behavior was sometimes boisterous but hilarious without a doubt.

In the episode when Ryan tried out for the cheer team, despite the obvious obstacles of the mean girls, he actually conveyed an inspirational personality because of his fearlessness and self-confidence. His audition was clearly intended to make the audience laugh, but Ryan nevertheless showed how dedication can go a long way.

The fact that the idea of a male cheerleader is considered humorous is seriously questionable, but maybe it's something the writers wanted viewers to reflect on. Ryan went above and beyond and didn't care what others thought of him. He broke the stereotypical rules and motivated viewers to do anything they wanted - especially if they were passionate about it.

3 Oscar

The hilarious and ultimately sweet receptionist of the fashion company, Oscar (Ron Butler) was always easily likable by fans. His obsession with his favorite soap opera, Space Plantation, along with his generous offerings of lemon squares contributes to his overall adorably-kind persona.

Oscar wasn't consistently too innocent though. He was actually very sly at times, with viewers remembering how he confessed to breaking Mr. Madigan's horse statue and would replace it with a new one. The calm behavior he also exhibited helped the office atmosphere move right along with its busy days. Oscar was the co-worker that everyone would always want.

2 Lulu

This girl was a true friend to True. Lulu had her mistakes here and there, but she persevered and proved how kind, approachable, and loyal she was as both a hard worker and a friend.

Her enthusiasm was contagious and hard to overlook. Fans can remember the first time she walked into True's office and played around with the fancy, remote-controlled closet doors. Lulu's efforts to help went a long way, even when True felt the need to fire her best friend for messing up on projects.

1 True

The most likable of them all should, of course, be True herself! Audiences were immediately drawn to True's creativity. Her knack for fashion was met with her eager-to-learn personality.

She didn't let the rather intimidating adults get in the way of her ambitious nature. True even worked hard in school and conveyed to young viewers that they could accomplish anything, even as a kid. This character was and still remains a symbol of what it takes to pursue and reach the dream. Even though there were moments when fans didn't like what True did (like when she fired her sweet best friend), she exemplified strength and courage overall.
