Despite her older looks being quite cringe worthy in today's society, Kim's taste in fashion has always been up to date with the biggest trends at the time. Most of the outfits included blazers, mid-length fitted skirts, and trench coats. Kim would often slick back her hair whether it be in a sleek bun or ponytail. She would even include some pops of color in her outfits, something that is now missed as she "looks great in vibrant tones." Fans described her former style as "classy" and "elegant." Her looks used to be more admirable than they are now. 2014 seemed to be Kim's "pinnacle year" as she wore clothing flattering to her body while also showing her personality. It was agreed that this was by far Kim's best era of fashion thus far.
Kim's fashion choices are quite different now than they were seven years ago. The more Kanye had a say in Kim's outfits they more her looks began to change and fans started to not like them.
