Up to 5K National Guard troops to stay at Capitol for Trump impeachment: report

Remnants of the force deployed for President Biden’s inauguration will remain in order to avoid a repeat of the Jan. 6 disaster in which lawmakers were left with little defense from mobs of crazed Trump supporters, a published report said.
