Kocharyan: November 10 ceasefire on Karabakh ‘not a final peace deal’

The November 10 Russia-brokered truce between Armenia and Azerbaijan is too short a document to offer comprehensive peace plan or a final solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict, according to the second president.

“It is a 1.5-page statement. And 1.5 pages are not enough to resolve issues of the kind. Lots of documents need to be elaborated to outline many details,” Rossaprimavera.ru quotes Robert Kocharyan as telling a news conference with Russian media outlets.

The ex-president took the chance to blame also the current Armenian authorities for a failure to demonstrate sufficient dignity in the negotiation process. “If  they thought a little about it, they would quit, ceding their place to the people who are are able to negotiate,” he added.
