Best NBA Player Props Bets for March 4

0

A busy nine-game farewell to the first half of the season as the NBA heads to its All-Star break following tonight’s set of games. The shorthanded Raptors and Celtics are the prime 7:00 p.m. ET matchup while the Warriors and Suns kick off the 10:00 hour. Remember to lock those fantasy lineups early with the primetime hour starts.

But don’t stop your fantasy fix there. Also, check out  FanDuel to put a team together for tonight’s hoops action. Following three straight undefeated nights, we have our first winless night in a while but don’t blame us, blame LeBron James for taking the night off. Still, we’re looking strong for the first half with a 42-23 record and looking to go into the break on a high note. As always, we stand behind our predictions, but take a look to see if any other players jump out at you by using the SportsGrid Player Prop Tool. Ensure you always check back throughout the day, as odds and projections may change with news and starting rotations. As always, our friends at the FanDuel Sportsbook bring you all the most up-to-date and top-notch odds.

New Orleans Pelicans Zion Williamson vs. Miami Heat

The Bet: Under 26.5 Points (-106)

Zion Williamson has quickly become the top-dog in New Orleans. Zion has raised his scoring average more than three points a game following a very successful sample-size rookie campaign last year. Williamson leads the Pelicans scoring 25.6 per game, putting him just outside the league’s top-ten. The 20-year-old also leads the NBA among players with at least ten shots per game, shooting 61 percent from the field. Much of Zion’s damage is done inside, which plays right to the Miami Heat’s strength.

Miami is leading the league allowing the fewest points in the paint. The Heat gives up under 40 points per game in the key and is in the league’s top-ten in opponents’ field goal percentage. The Heat is good all-around defensively as they give up just 108 points per game, fifth-best in the league. They can also bait players into lousy shooting nights, giving up only a 44 percent shooting rate which is good for third-best in the NBA.

New Orleans is a -2 point home favorite, while the Moneyline is thin at -126. The FanDuel Sportsbook’s total is a middle-ground spot at 228, and perhaps a bit higher because of New Orelans’ fourth-worst defense.

Washington Wizards Bradley Beal vs. Los Angeles Clippers

The Bet: Under 31.5 Points (-110)

Bradley Beal is having an unreal season for an unreally terrible team. Beal continues to put up big numbers as Washington continues to drop game after game. The 27-year-old is the league leader putting up a ridiculous 32.9 points per game. Beal put up yet another 40-plus point game a few nights ago against the Celtics and was again on the wrong side of victory. Big performances with losses have become a trend that’s been all too regular an occurrence for Beal and the Wizards.

Beal has shown he can score against any team this season, but he will be tough against Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers. LA is allowing the sixth-fewest points in the league, giving up just 109.2 a night. The Clippers have been incredible on the perimeter allowing only 11.8 three-pointers per game, good for sixth in the NBA while also landing in the top-ten in opponents’ three-point field goal percentage allowed. Good weapons against a player like Beal, who is second on his team, hitting 2.4 triples a night. While their best weapon is their best player, don’t be surprised to see Kawhi guarding Beal throughout the night.

The Wizards are +6 point home dogs with a +188 Moneyline, and this one could get out of hand very quickly. FanDuel’s Sportsbook has the middle-ground total at 236, directly reflecting the Wizards’ terrible defense and ability to score.
