Spurs LaMarcus Aldridge Ruled Out Tonight
The San Antonio Spurs will be without LaMarcus Aldridge for the second straight game when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. Aldridge is dealing with a stomach issue that’s being characterized as a bug. The Spurs will likely start Jakob Poeltl in his absence. Poeltl had gotten all the starts at the center position this season when Aldridge wasn’t available.
Aldridge’s absence hasn’t had much of an impact on the point spread, which remains relatively flat after the Spurs opened as a 6.5 point favorite. Instead, we’ve seen some sharp action on the total with early bettors siding targeting the over. This makes sense as the Spurs will be more reliant on their perimeter players, and Aldridge does tend to slow the game down.
If you’re looking for a player prop, you might want to consider playing Demar DeRozan over the point total of 20.5.
DeRozan is coming off a 10-point performance against the Knicks. In his last nine games before Tuesday’s contest, he failed to score at least 15 points in three of the games, and each time, he followed up those performances with at least 21 points in the next game.
That trend is active tonight, and you can find that and plenty more player props over at the FanDuel Sportsbook.
