In a coordinated move, the EU on Tuesday unveiled sanctions against four Russian officials for their "roles in the arbitrary arrest, prosecution and sentencing of [Russian opposition figure] Alexei Navalny”, as hours later, the US imposed sanctions on seven Russian officials, including Federal Security Service (FSB) director Alexander Bortnikov.
