Conflicting Reports Emerge about NFL Probe into Washington Football Team’s Culture
Conflicting reports are emerging about the recommendations stemming from the NFL’s investigation into the Washington Football Team’s culture amid allegations of misconduct in the workplace. The Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan reported that they saw portions of the report findings, including a recommendation that Dan Snyder should divest his ownership of the team.
The NFL then refuted this claim, according to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports. Jones reported that an NFL spokesperson told him that the league hadn’t even seen the report.
Interestingly enough, the league is directly involved in this investigation after taking over the lead following questions about the probe’s transparency and fairness since it was originally put together and funded by Snyder and his cohorts.
This is almost similar to the Ray Rice incident when a law enforcement official sent the former Ravens’ video running back, striking his then-fiancee inside the elevator at a casino. Yet, the NFL said they never viewed possessed the tape, which was also later corroborated in an investigation conducted by former FBI director Robert S. Mueller.
One thing’s for certain, whether it’s Spygate, Deflategate, or the Ray Rice incident, there’s no shortage of the NFL having to clean up after itself.
