Jose Mourinho has admitted that Tottenham Hotspur face a major test over the next few weeks with some tough away trips coming up.
After Tottenham’s loss against West Ham two weeks ago, it seemed as though the North Londoners’ chances of finishing in the top four were over.
However, back to back wins over Burnley and Fulham have brought Spurs right back into the race, with the North Londoners now sitting just five points behind Chelsea with a game in hand.
After their clash against Palace on Sunday, Spurs face three consecutive away matches in the Premier League against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle.
Mourinho admitted that the next few games will be crucial for Tottenham’s hopes of climbing the table.
The Spurs boss told Football.London: “March will be so hard for us, only one match at home and then after that everything is away, plus two Europa League matches, plus national teams with all the controversy and perils we are going to face with that.
“March is going to be very very hard. If we can add three points to our total it will be good.”
Before Spurs can switch their attention to the Europa League and the all-important North London Derby, they face a tricky test against Palace this weekend.
Mourinho admitted that it is always difficult to take on teams like Palace, who are not under as much pressure during the business end of the season.
He said regarding the clash on Sunday: “I always feel these type of teams with real quality but without any real kind of pressure to do better than have a stable season and to stay in the middle of the table, I always feel that these players, these teams they don’t have any pressure, they just go and play.
“If they win great, if they lose they don’t feel any pressure from media or from fans, it is just a nice way to play and compete.
“They will come here to try and not concede goals, which they do very well, but at the same time they will try and score and they have danger coming from different items of the game so I expect a difficult match for us.”

Three points against Palace will be crucial in order to keep up the momentum of our recent results and go into the North London Derby with confidence. If we pick up 6 points in our next two matches, not only will that be a huge boost for our top four hopes but it will also give us a great chance of finishing above Arsenal for the fifth season in a row.
