UPDATE: Woman finds brother and elderly father dead at Moore residence, police investigating
UPDATE: The bodies found at a Moore home Friday afternoon were discovered by a relative who was checking on the welfare of her family.
The woman called 9-1-1 from a residence in the 600 block of South 38th Street after she found her brother and her father deceased.
The woman found the body of her brother in a chair in the house's backyard just after 2 p.m.
She went inside the home and found her father deceased as well.
When the woman called 9-1-1, she said it appeared her brother committed suicide. Lt. Kyle Hill with Moore Police said that appears to be how the man found in the backyard died.
“Regardless of the manner of which these two men left the Earth today, there’s a family here and loved ones that are really hurting, and we are profoundly sad to be here today under these circumstances,” Hill said.
Moore detectives are still investigating the two deaths. A suspect is not being sought.
