The Walking Dead Season 10 Clip Reveals The First Time Daryl Met Dog
A clip from tomorrow's episode of The Walking Dead has been released and it teases Daryl's first meeting with Dog. The zombie thriller returned last week for a continuation of season 10. "Home Sweet Home" saw the return of Maggie, who appeared previously to help turn the tide of the Whisperer War. The latest episode also teased a new villain group called the Reapers.
Like every major show, The Walking Dead was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The original season 10 finale was scheduled to air in April 2020, but ended up premiering in October. However, this also inspired an extended season. Six bonus season 10 episodes were confirmed, bridging the gap between seasons. The first of these episodes dealt with Maggie's return, her new friends, and her realizing Negan is free. Another episode will focus on Gabriel and Aaron. The final episode of the batch will dive into Negan's origin, something many fans have been wanting to see. Before that, viewers will get to see Daryl in the time between Rick's disappearance and the time jump in season 9.
AMC (via Den of Geek) has released a clip from "Find Me," the second of the six bonus season 10 episodes of The Walking Dead. In the clip, Daryl's soon-to-be doggy friend leads him to a cabin inhabited by a mysterious new character played by Lynn Collins. Check it out below.
Perhaps one of the most anticipated aspects of the episode is Dog, Daryl's canine companion. After the time jump in season 9, Dog appears with Daryl but little explanation was given for where the pup came from. So, there's clearly a backstory to be told in "Find Me." Dog quickly became a fan favorite, to no one's surprise, and he even tackled a Whisperer to save Henry. In 2018, a fan petition was launched to urge The Walking Dead's producers to keep Dog alive. Here's to hoping Dog keeps barking happily from now unto the show's conclusion.
Besides Dog, it will be interesting to see Daryl's mindset during those years away from the group. Also interesting is Leah, Lynn Collins' character. She isn't letting Daryl leave the cabin, but is she friend or foe? AMC+ subscribers likely already know the answer, as news episodes are made available on the platform a week before they broadcast on AMC. But for everyone else, it will be an unfolding mystery from start to finish. With Dog, Daryl, and a brand new character, there's certainly plenty of story to tell in Sunday's episode. The Walking Dead season 10 only has a few more stories to tell before season 11, premiering this summer on AMC, wraps up the long-running series.
