Jersey Shore: Why Lauren Sorrentino Follows Jenn Harley But Not Angelina On IG
Although Mike "The Situation's" wife Lauren Sorrentino seemed to stay on the outskirts of the drama throughout the latest season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, she may have been more involved than fans thought. Amongst the nearly 300 accounts Lauren follows on Instagram is Ronnie's toxic ex Jenn Harley; however, Angelina was nowhere to be found. Fans have come up with numerous reasons Lauren could have as an excuse to not follow Angelina.
Lauren became an official roommate this past season as she appeared in nearly every episode. Although Lauren reappeared on the show quite often for the first three seasons, she was never fully a part of the show. After Snooki quit the show following the drama of Angelina's wedding it seemed as though Lauren stepped up to take her place. Despite being on nearly every episode of season 4, fans are still warming up to seeing Lauren as one of the roommates.
Lauren has been in the know through all of the drama since the start of the spinoff series; however, she always managed to stay neutral in almost every argument. Now, fans are realizing that she may have been more involved in the drama than she was portrayed to be. One fan on Reddit pointed out that Lauren is still following Ronnie's toxic ex Jenn but does not follow Angelina. It is quite confusing why Lauren would still follow Jenn after everything she put Ronnie through; however, Lauren has a few good reasons to not follow Angelina. From the way Lauren interacts with Angelina on the show, it is perceived that Lauren does not like her very much. Oddly enough, Angelina does in fact follow Lauren.
The first major issue Lauren had with Angelina was while Mike was in prison. On the show, Lauren confronted Angelina about sharing a clickbait article on Instagram about Mike's jail time. Angelina is known to share clickbait articles despite how controversial the topic may be. Prior to this, Angelina had made an inappropriate remark during Lauren's wedding dress fitting regarding Mike soon leaving for jail. Although Lauren does not speak up much, ever since these incidents she seems to always have a guard up with Angelina. In the season 4 finale, Lauren did not seem happy when Angelina kept interrupting her and Mike while they were trying to announce their pregnancy.
Although Lauren is finally starting to open up more on the show, she still does not come off as a very confrontational person. It seems as though it takes a lot for Lauren to fight back. Angelina has gotten Lauren to her boiling point in the past as she has confronted her on more than one occasion. While it is understandable why Lauren would opt out of following Angelina it is awfully strange that she still follows Jenn. It could possibly be just to see photos of Ronnie's daughter. Lauren and Mike along with the rest of the cast are currently at a winter resort filming the new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
