Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer Rumour: Zinedine Zidane Reacts on Juventus Star Amid Real Madrid Return Speculation
Amid all the speculations taking place around the globe, Zinedine Zidane has said that he still is a big fan of the ‘magnificent Ronaldo. There have been rumours suggesting that Ronaldo could head back to Bernabeu after Juventus was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League against FC Porto. Reports suggest that the Portuguese star’s agent Jorge Mendes is already in talks with the Real Madrid bosses.
In a recent interview with reporters, Zidane praised Ronaldo. Zidane did not drop any hint about Ronaldo joining Madrid and said that CR7 is a Juventus player and he respects that.
“You know what he is, what he has done, and how much love we have for him. He made history here, he’s magnificent. Now, he is a Juve player and I cannot tell you anything about what they (media) are saying. He’s a Juve player and I have to respect these things,” Zidane told reporters.
Ronaldo and Zidane enjoyed a lot of success together at Real Madrid. CR7 scored 450 goals in 438 appearances at the Los Blancos.
At Madrid, he lapped up two La Liga titles while leading their line and also claimed four Champions League crowns and three Club World Cup wins.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos recently admitted that it was a big mistake of the club to leave Ronaldo.
“With Cristiano’s departure, he lost out and Real Madrid lost out. I wouldn’t have let him go. It shows you that football is more and more even. Juve were the favourites, but you can’t disrespect any opponent. But them getting knocked out is indifferent to me,” Ramos said while talking to Ibai Llanos on Twitch.
Ramos has also invited Lionel Messi to join Real Madrid. There are similar rumours involving Messi as well after the Catalans were knocked out of the Champions League recently.
