Minneapolis to pay record $27 million to settle lawsuit with George Floyd's family

The civil case against the city is separate from the ongoing criminal trial of former officer Derek Chauvin. Attorneys for the family called it the "largest pre-trial settlement in a civil rights wrongful death case in U.S. history."
