After Amanda Holden threw her support behind Piers, musician and radio host Myleene Klass posted her own thoughts on Instagram.
She wrote: “I don’t always agree with everything @piersmorgan says and you don’t have to either, as @noholdenback says, he’s like marmite (aren’t we all!)….
“But you cannot ignore what he did for the NHS over lockdown and, in particular, Filipino nurses, staff and their families.”
Myleene, who is half Filipino, continued: “The day he read out the names of our fallen soldiers meant so much to the community and showed them they’d been acknowledged and respected for the sacrifices they made for our loved ones.
“I know he will use his powers for good again soon.”
Posting Myleene’s message on his own Instagram, Piers shared a ‘thumbs up’ emoji and wrote: “Thanks @myleeneklass.”
Piers has also shared a message of support written by ex-England cricketer Michael Vaughan.
“Agreeing with everything someone says is impossible, ” the sports star said. “That’s not real life….but you shouldn’t be penalised for having a strong opinion either.
“Haven’t agreed with @piersmorgan this last year on everything as I’m sure he hasn’t agreed with much I have said…that’s fine…that’s opinion.”
Posting it to his Instagram stories, Piers commented: “Thanks Skip.”
Fellow cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Shane Warne have also backed Piers, who quit GMB after refusing to apologise for his views on the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Kevin tweeted: “I know @piersmorgan away from TV and twitter. He’s a f*****g legend, who is loyal, funny, caring and so much fun to be around! Hope you’re ok, buddy! #TeamPiers.”
He has since added: “The Piers show this week is highlighting how abusive the ‘#BeKind’ woke brigade actually are. I’ve seen it all week on my feed.
“Things that would NEVER be said to your face – EVER! Absolute muppets! THE LOT OF YOU!”
Shane, meanwhile, wrote: “You’re a bloody legend @piersmorgan & yes I know a friend too. But you create debate & discussion-which is a good thing.

“I don’t always agree with u on some topics, but you’re a straight talker & to many people are scared to talk straight. Keep holding people accountable.”
Piers shocked fans by dramatically leaving Good Morning Britain on Tuesday night after senior execs told him to say sorry on air following his heated clash with the show’s weatherman Alex Beresford over the Duchess of Sussex.
On Friday, the dad-of-four shared a handwritten note he had penned for his ‘supporters’, saying he lost the plum role for refusing to apologise for “disbelieving Meghan Markle” in an at-times angry message.
