KUWTK: Kris Jenner Gets Emotional Discussing the End of the Series

0

With the finale season of Keeping up with the Kardashians airing this year, Kris Jenner began to get emotional discussing the final days of filming. The show premiered back in 2007 on the E! network, shortly after Kris' daughter, Kim Kardashian, went viral for her infamous NSFW video with her former boyfriend, Ray J. KUWTK not only helped viewers see Kim beyond her tape but also  got to know the rest of her family. The show helped contribute to the careers of some of the family members.

While it's been hard for the Kardashian-Jenner clan to move on from their hugely successful reality series, they know greater opportunities are ahead. They have not only become close with those who are apart of the network but also the crew that has been with them since the beginning. Now that the sisters have all grown up and moved into different stages of life, it has been getting more difficult for the family to get together and film. While they are sad to leave the show behind, they know it is for the best.

During an exclusive clip from the upcoming season of Keeping up with the Kardashians, the 65-year-old began to tear up while confiding in her two friends Faye Resnick and Kyle Richards (from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) about her family's long-running reality show coming to an end. "It's hard," Kris said as she wiped her tears. "It's just hard to think about the end." Faye then asked Kris why the family decided to end the now, to which Kris replied that the decision wasn't an easy one. "It is complicated," she revealed. "It's all these different personalities and people and kids and grandkids ... It's been incredibly challenging, incredibly hard."

Apart from her family, Kris will also miss the crew with whom she has worked with since the first season. "Everybody in this room is my family," the matriarch of the family admitted through tears. "They're day one, season one. Every single thing we've done, we've done together. Whether it's a vacation, a birth, a marriage, a divorce, everything has been so public. It's part of our life. This is our life." Kris revealed telling the crew about the family's decision to end the show was one of the hardest things she has had to do. She then turned over to the cameramen with tears in her eyes to say, "I appreciate all you guys, just for the record."

Even though it was tough for Kris and the family to end their wildly popular reality series, she is confident the decision to leave KUWTK behind was the right one. Being a part of the show was one of the most amazing times in Kris' life, and she clearly cherished those moments. The Kardashian-Jenners may be ending KUWTK, but viewers know there is more to come from the most interesting family on TV.
