What Level Outer Worlds: Murder On Eridanos Players Need To Be
The arrival of Murder on Eridanos, the second (and last) DLC for The Outer Worlds, brings with it a murder mystery for players to solve on a new planet. But players won't have access to the content right away; they'll need to reach a certain location first, and developers also recommend players reach a certain level before attempting the new quests.
The Outer Worlds is a sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment that saw players take on the role of a colonist from a spaceship that arrived decades after it was supposed to. Players navigated corrupt corporations and fought off marauders and the local wildlife as they tried to locate the supplies necessary to save what's left of humanity. Murder on Eridanos is the second of two planned DLC for The Outer Worlds. The first, Peril on Gorgon, sent players to the Gorgon Asteroid to discover what went wrong at the research post there.
Murder on Eridanos will allow players to travel to the planet Eridanos, a planet that was inaccessible in the base game of The Outer Worlds. But before they can do that, they first must reach and unlock Stellar Bay. Developers also recommend that players reach level 30 before playing through the expansion. Once the content is unlocked, players will travel to Eridanos to solve the murder of actress Halcyon Helen. Players will look for clues, check alibis, and accuse suspects as they try to determine who was behind the killing.
Players will also find that Murder on Eridanos brings not only a new area and new quests, but other bonuses as well. There will be new perks and flaws, as well as new armor and new scientific weapons. Players will also have a new tool at their disposal, the Discrepancy Amplifier. The Discrepancy Amplifier will help reveal clues and provide analysis of the clues, and can also be used as a weapon. The development team also worked hard to make sure the NPC companions felt integrated into the story, and some interactions will only be seen by players of Murder on Eridanos if they have a certain companion on their team.
Although fans of The Outer Worlds may be disappointed to know this is the last DLC for the game, they'll be happy to hear that a sequel to The Outer Worlds is reportedly in pre-production. Until then, fans will have to content themselves with putting on their detective cap as they try to unravel this whodunit murder mystery.
The Outer Worlds: Murder On Eridanos DLC will release on March 17, 2020 for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
