Just Die Already PC & Console Ports Announced | Screen Rant
Publisher CurveDigital has announced the PC and console ports for its upcoming dark comedy sandbox game Just Die Already. Following a successful PC demo released in October last year, the studio has revealed that the game will be coming to consoles.
Just Die Already is about a whacky group of retired senior citizens who have been kicked out of their retirement homes, left on their own to survive and maybe rediscover what it means to be alive. Players will need to complete dangerous challenges in exchange for free retirement care. The Swedish developer DoubleMoose Games has incorporated the humor and physics-based fun from its past hit title, Animal Super Squad, so fans of the dev can look forward to the eventual release.
The announcement of the game’s move to consoles was revealed today, with CurveDigital dropping a new video on YouTube of influencers having fun with the Just Die Already demo from last year. Along with the PC release, Just Die Already will be releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. There were no announcements on when the game will be released on any platform as of yet, but as we get closer to the mystery date, the publishers will make an announcement.
Whether or not the developers will be updating these console ports for the Xbox Series X/S and the PlayStation 5 is still unknown. The demo on PC released last Summer was a strong representation of the end product, but the developers probably want to take their time working on the game and the ports. The game’s demo certainly looked impressive and was a lot of fun, but there is no ceiling on ways the developers can add even more chaos and wackiness to the game.
Just Die Already is a silly simulator game that can be played alone or with 4 people. There are missions that can be completed, or just explore an open-world sandbox mode with friends. The game is only limited by your own imagination, there’s even a glue gun that lets players stick various items together for chaotic fun. Work together to afford the best retirement housing or just create ultimate chaos in your path, the choice is up to you.
Just Die Already is in development for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
