In the film industry, there are many jobs and roles for people who aren't actors - and stunt doubles definitely deserve way more recognition than they receive. Of course, while these professionals may still lend their expertise, there are some actors and actresses that actually do their own stunts.

From fights to jumping off buildings, some familiar faces have their talent extended way further than memorizing lines. In action flicks, it's pretty normal, but it's time to give comedy actors some applause for the stunts they pull off all on their own, just to make audiences laugh.

10 Ike Barinholtz

Fans know and love Ike Barinholtz for his comedic genius, and recently, he's taken on some more action-packed roles on the big screen. Barinholtz is one actor who takes a stab at most of his own stunts.

He actually broke his neck while filming a scene for the movie The Pactwhere he falls from a tall platform. After the serious injury, Barinholtz was all right, but he certainly gave that role his all.

9 Isla Fisher

Isla Fisher is known for a lot more than comedy, but fans can't help but love the laughs she offers in movies like Wedding Crashers, The Brothers Grimsby, and Tag, all of which she dabbles in her own stunts.

There's even a pretty famous scene in the comedy drama, Now You See Me, where Fisher's character performs a magic trick in a water tank; she almost drowned while filming it! This versatile actress deserves some kudos.

8 Sacha Baron Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen is another comedic legend, and is actually married to the aforesaid Isla Fisher. While he's dabbled in so many hilarious films, fans will always know and love this actor for his work on the Borat movies.

He's known for trying some pretty outrageous and dangerous things, all for the entertainment and cringe that his fans will gain from them. He went all out for Borat, and performed so many wild stunts.

7 Kevin Hart

It's pretty impossible not to laugh at the stand-up and movies of Kevin Hart. He's actually poked a lot of fun at some other action legends, like Dwayne Johnson, for not doing their own stunts.

Kevin Hart, on the other hand, actually does most of his stunts. This comedic legend gives everything a shot, and fans can enjoy Jumanji or Ride Along even more knowing Hart was behind a lot of the wild moments.

6 Andy Samberg

Fans know and love Andy Samberg for both the big and the small screen, and it turns out that Samberg did actually perform a lot of his own stunts for Hot Rod back in 2007. He does have a stunt double, but he takes his shot at a lot of the work.

5 Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy should really be hailed the queen of action-comedy movies, and it turns out, she actually does a lot of her own stunts. She thinks it's more authentic, and frankly, more hilarious.

She does have a brilliant stunt double, but she brings all she can to her roles to make fans love her even more. From The Heat to Spy to Bridesmaids, McCarthy has shown off her talents by taking a shot at the comedic and wild stunts that come with the roles.

4 Justin Theroux

Audiences recognize Justin Theroux from the TV series The Leftovers and movies like Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and The Girl on the Train. He did his own stunts for the action comedy, The Spy Who Dumped Me, and ended up splitting his head open while riding a scooter.

Justin Theroux is bursting with talent, and that even includes taking a shot at some dangerous stunts. It's all paid off in the end, but he did suffer some injuries along the way.

3 Michael J. Fox

Iconic actor Michael J. Fox has been stealing hearts and shining on the big screen for years, and he did a lot of his own stunts for his movies, including the Back to the Future series.

In fact, while filming the hanging scene in the third part, there was a small error that almost cost him his life. Thankfully, he came out all right with no sustained injuries, and went on to entertain in other hilarious films and shows.

2 Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum has lent his expertise to all genres of film, but it's hard not to love him in 21 Jump Street or The Kingsman: The Golden Circle. In fact, both Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum did most of their own stunts for the comedy action series of 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street.

There's so much talent to love from Channing Tatum, and it's even more impressive to know that he actually did a lot of the stunts that bring fans endless entertainment and laughs.

1 Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg definitely dives into dramas here and then, but most fans love to laugh alongside him (and usually Will Ferrell). From Pain & Gain to The Other Guys, the Boogie Nights actor doesn't mind doing his own stunts.

He's admitted to leaving the intense stuff to the real professionals, but Wahlberg definitely gives it a shot in all of his action-comedies that fans love to watch. He's a man of many talents.
