Genshin Impact 1.4 Update New Weapons Detailed | Screen Rant
Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has released new details on the new weapons and events that will be coming with the game’s 1.4 update. The latest major update for Genshin Impact is set to release on March 17, 2021, and will see the introduction of Rosaria into the game’s roster as well as the return of Venti and Tartaglia as characters that players will be able to summon through their respective Event Wish banners.
Genshin Impact’s 1.4 update will once again revolve around another major in-game festival, similar to the Lantern Rite Festival of the 1.3 update, although this time it will take place in Mondstadt rather than Liyue. Dubbed the Windblume Festival, players will be able to participate in several in-game activities during the event to earn event-exclusive rewards. The 1.4 update is also adding its own in-game dating sim with the new Hangout Events that will be available even after the conclusion of the Windblume Festival.
MiHoYo shared some new details on the new weapons and events that will be introduced when the 1.4 update goes live this week. The new weapon that players will be able to get from participating in the Windblume Festival events is called the Windblume Ode bow, which is an event-exclusive bow that will grant characters more attack for a short time when they use their elemental skill. Apart from the Windblume Ode, the 1.4 update will also introduce the new Epitome Invocation weapon event banner that will feature brand-new weapons including the Elegy for the End, The Alley Flash, and Wine and Song.
Elegy of the End is the new 5-star bow that will be featured in the new weapon banner. The new bow will increase the character’s elemental mastery and attack by a significant amount once its effect is triggered. The new 4-star Wine and Song catalyst decreases the amount of stamina sprinting consumes whenever a character hits an opponent with a normal attack while also increasing the character’s attack for a few seconds whenever sprint is used. Lastly, The Alley Flash is a 4-star sword that automatically increases the damage the character does when the weapon is equipped but the effect is disabled whenever the character takes damage themselves.
Another new bow called the Alley Hunter is also set to be released within the duration of the 1.4 update but according to miHoYo, it will appear in a future weapon banner and no details on it have been shared yet. Additionally, the Skyward Blade will also be featured in the new weapon banner so those who weren’t able to get it when it was first featured last year will once again have a better chance to pull it again.
The new 5-star Elegy of the End is definitely the most interesting of the new weapons as it looks like it was designed with Venti in mind. His Elemental Burst will make it very easy to activate the weapon’s effect very easy as it hits enemies multiple times in succession. Genshin Impact players who will be attempting to summon Venti during the event may want to attempt to pull the Elegy of the End bow as well.
