Opinion: My five favourite Spurs players from the last decade

Ever since 2010, Spurs have gone through a golden era compared to the years beforehand. We’ve seen so many players shine in the famous Lilywhite shirt, with many becoming fan favourites. There are many contenders, but I have decided to pick my five favourites.  

Jan Vertonghen 

There is no doubt that ‘Super Jan’ is a club legend within N17. After signing in the summer of 2012 for 11 million pounds (transfermarkt), Jan was a consistent rock at the back.

The Belgian featured 315 times for Tottenham, even scoring 14 goals during this time (Transfermarkt). 

The Belgian had some unforgettable memories, including his masterclass versus German giants Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
