Kevin Feige says he is not involved with any of the upcoming Star Wars TV shows. Following the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, Lucasfilm is shifting their approach for their flagship franchise. The movies are currently on hiatus, with Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron scheduled to hit theaters in December 2023. In the interim, there's a full slate of Star Wars TV shows coming to Disney+. Crown jewel The Mandalorian will soon be joined by the likes of Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and several others. Those who saw Lucasfilm's presentation at Disney's Investor Day last December know the small screen is a major part of their future.
In addition to multiple TV shows, Lucasfilm has a handful of movies coming through the pipeline. One such feature film is being developed by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, which recently landed a writer. Seeing Feige jump from one Disney blockbuster property to another was intriguing, leading some to wonder if he was aiming to have a larger role in the Star Wars universe. With so many Star Wars projects on the horizon, it seems like there would be plenty of opportunities for Feige, but he's not looking beyond his one movie.
Speaking with EW, Feige reiterated earlier comments he made about his Star Wars future, stating he's only joining the franchise for the single film that's been announced. Other than that, his "involvement" consists of being an avid viewer:
"No. That's all Kathy Kennedy. I'm involved in as much as I stay up until midnight L.A. time to watch new episodes of The Mandalorian when they drop."

This isn't surprising to hear, seeing that Feige is very busy overseeing Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU's next era is in full swing, with WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premiering on Disney+ this year. Marvel also has a plethora of other TV shows and movies coming out over the next few years, so Feige will have his hands full. It's one thing for Feige to balance the responsibilities of a solo Star Wars movie with his Marvel obligations, but anything more than that could run the risk of spreading Feige too thin. With Marvel entering a transitional period post-Infinity Saga, it's vital Feige is able to give the MCU the proper attention. Additionally, Disney is fully committed to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, so there's no plan in place to have Feige be in charge of Lucasfilm.
Still, this doesn't mean Feige will be one-and-done with Star Wars. It's certainly possible after his current movie comes out, he returns to the franchise to take on another project - especially if the film is a hit. Given Feige's track record with Marvel, it stands reason to believe his Star Wars movie will be a success, so Lucasfilm could be interested in continuing to do business with him. Whether or not Feige does anything else with Star Wars will likely depend on what's happening with the MCU and the galaxy far, far away at the time. If there's a spot for it, Disney probably wouldn't turn down another Feige Star Wars project. Of course, it could just be enough for the lifelong Star Wars fan to produce one movie and move on.
