Pirates of the Caribbean star said Johnny Depp film was ‘doomed to fail’

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN director Gore Verbinski has spoken out about the people who were not on-board with his Disney-funded pirate movie and was even told he was "mad" for trying to make it. He also revealed the studio was extremely "nervous" about having Johnny Depp at the forefront of the film.
