Best NBA Player Props Bets for March 24

0

It’s a busy night with a stack of 11 games on tap in the NBA for another showcase Wednesday. The Pacers tip-off first as they host the Pistons at 7:00 p.m. ET while the Nets and Jazz go national at 10:00 for the marquee late game. Make sure you get those fantasy lineups locked and loaded on a bustling Wednesday evening.

But don’t stop your fantasy fix there. Also, check out  FanDuel to put a team together for tonight’s action on the hardcourt. We’re coming off a 1-1 Tuesday night, are 7-3 in our past ten and 50-32 on the season. As always, we stand behind our predictions, but take a look to see if any other players jump out at you by using the SportsGrid Player Prop Tool. Ensure you always check back throughout the day, as odds and projections may change with news and starting rotations. When you’re looking to see what’s what, our good friends at the FanDuel Sportsbook have all the up-to-date and best odds in the industry waiting for you.

Utah Jazz Donovan Mitchell vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Bet: Under 27.5 Points (-112)

Donovan Mitchell has been on fire for the Jazz lately. Utah’s swingman has scored at least 30 points in three-straight games and five times in his past ten. In eight games in March, Mitchell is putting up his highest-scoring month so far this season, averaging almost 29 points a game. Thanks to his recent hot streak, the former 13th overall pick is sniffing around the league’s top-ten in scoring. Mitchell leads the Jazz, scoring 25.4 per game, and has helped propel the defensive team to the league’s third highest-scoring team.

The 24-year-old has already had success against the Brooklyn Nets this year. In their first and only meeting in early January, Mitchell put up a game-high 31 points in a Jazz blowout loss to the Nets. This was in a game Utah scored just 96 points which we’ve seen is a rarity for the Brooklyn defense.

The Nets give up the fifth-most points in the league allowing over 115 a game and are also bottom-ten in three-pointers allowed. Brooklyn also allows the fifth-most points in the paint, giving up 50 a game in the key, and are in the bottom half of the league in opponents’ two-point field goal percentage.

The Jazz is a -9.5 point home favorite with a valueless Moneyline of -500 against the shorthanded Nets. The FanDuel Sportsbook’s total is 230.5, lower than this matchup would generally get with a full Brooklyn team.

Dallas Mavericks Luka Doncic vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Bet: Over 48.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-115)

If Mitchell has been on fire lately, Luka Doncic has been absolutely volcanic. The Mavericks point guard has been on a scoring tear putting up 37 or more in each of his past three games. Doncic is averaging 39 over that span while shooting 60 percent from the floor. As usual, the 22-year-old is contributing across the board, finishing just one assist and one rebound short of his tenth triple-double of the year against Portland on Friday. On the season, Doncic is averaging a near triple-double putting up 29 points, 9.2 assists, and 8.4 rebounds a night. He’s done much of his recent damage against much better defense than his Wednesday night opponent.

In a lost season for Minnesota, the defense has been precisely that; lost. The Timberwolves allow the third-most points in the league, giving up over 117 a game on the third-worst opponents shooting rate at over 48 percent from the field. The Wolves also allow the fourth-most free throws in the NBA, which isn’t a great combination going up against a player that gets to the line as much as Doncic. Luka ranks ninth in the league with 7.5 free-throw attempts a night. We also know the Mavs talent can get into the lane, which is another area Minny struggles with. The T’Wolves give up over 51 points in the paint a night which is the second-worst number in the NBA in that category. Minnesota also allows the sixth-most rebounds and fifth-most assists in the league, so an all-around game for the Mavs superstar looks like a good bet.

The Mavericks are -8 point road favorites with a chunky -375 Moneyline. The FanDuel’s Sportsbook has a higher-end total of 232, suggesting scoring should come aplenty, which is good news for Doncic padding those stats.
