Report: UEFA may scrap FFP system – What it could mean for Spurs
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (relayed by Calcio Finanza), UEFA may potentially scrap their financial fair play (FFP) system after a video conference this Thursday.
If scrapped, FFP would be replaced by a new system, giving clubs more freedom over how they spend and, most importantly, how much they spend.
The new system would not have as much control over limiting the spending patterns of wealthy clubs, meaning those with rich owners could blow the competition away once again.
Unfortunately for Tottenham, as highlighted by Football London, this may not come as a positive due to the historic spending patterns of the North London club.
