Former deputy chief of Army General Staff sues defense minister
A former deputy chief of the Armed Forces' General Staff has filed a lawsuit against the minister of defense, asking the Administrative Court to declare two recent orders (dated Feb. 26, 2021 and March 15, 2021) null and void and to oblige Vagharshak Harutyunyan to reinstate him in office.
Lieutenant General Tiran Khachatryan's appeal was assigned to Daniel Danibekyan, a judge at the above-mentioned court, the information available on DataLex.am reveals.
Khachatryan, who was relieved of duties last month, additionally called for eliminating an order issued by the Chief of the General Staff on March 19, 2021.
He also lodged an appeal against President Armen Sarkissian, urging the court to invalidate a February 24, 2021 decree.
