American Horror Story Season 10 Casts Model Kaia Gerber
Model Kaia Gerber has joined the cast of American Horror Story season 10. Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series premiered on FX in 2011 and follows a different horror story each season in a new location and time period. From a 1960s asylum with possessed nuns to a modern-day cult, American Horror Story has captivated audiences with its dark, twisted, and sometimes campy storylines. While each season features new characters, the show maintains the same cast members for many of the seasons, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates.
Now coming up on season 10, viewers have been eagerly waiting to see what the next storyline has in store since the most recent episode aired back in November 2019 as part of American Horror Story: 1984. Season 10 was delayed last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Murphy has been dropping hints about the season. He took to social media to reveal the season's title, which is American Horror Story: Double Feature, along with a short teaser. As the title suggests, the new season will feature two stories, back-to-back, "one by the sand" and "one by the sea." Like every season, most details surrounding Double Feature have been kept under wraps, but the name and teaser confirmed many viewers' theories the new season will be centered around a nautical theme. American Horror Story: Double Feature will bring back familiar faces, like Paulson, Peters, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, and Finn Wittrock, as well as new cast members like Macaulay Culkin.
Now, Murphy has revealed the newest cast member to join season 10. In an Instagram post Tuesday, Murphy announced supermodel Kaia Gerber has joined the cast of the new season. The 19-year-old model and daughter of Cindy Crawford responded to Murphy's announcement by writing "If I'm dreaming this don't wake me up." See Murphy's post below:
Gerber is not the first supermodel to be cast in American Horror Story, as Murphy is known for casting surprising public figures in his shows, like models and athletes. Supermodel Naomi Campbell appeared in American Horror Story: Hotel. Meanwhile, Olympic athlete Gus Kentworthy starred in 1984.
While Gerber is not necessarily new to acting, as she has a couple of credits under her belt, she may still be a surprising casting choice for viewers. While there are no details yet about who Gerber will be playing, or really who anyone in the cast is playing, more information will likely come out as the new season gets closer. However, in typical American Horror Story fashion, audiences will likely not know the extent of what the season has in store until it arrives.
