Andy Cohen Explains the Right Way To Pronounce Khloé Kardashian
In a recent interview, Andy Cohen, the host of Watch What Happens Live, revealed the correct way to pronounce Khloé Kardashians' name. Andy recently interviewed the Kardashians for his new reality series on E! called For Real: The Story of Reality TV, where he interviews different reality TV stars on their experience with the fairly new format. The job was an easy undertaking for Andy as he's been interviewing all types of celebrities for years.
Andy made a name for himself in the reality TV world when he became the vice president of programming at the Bravo network. He has since served as executive producer for the Real Housewives franchise and is the host of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo. However, Andy has been a staple in the Real Housewives universe as he serves as the reunion host for every franchise. He is not afraid to ask some uncomfortable or hilarious questions the viewers may have. No one is more suited to interview reality stars than the king of reality TV.
During an interview on an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 52-year-old proved everyone wrong when he revealed the proper way to pronounce Khloé Kardashian's name. "It's Klo-ay. Khloé is the name," Andy explained to the host. "There is a little accent over the name. And so, I went and interviewed the Kardashians at Khloé's house. I walked in, I go, ‘Khloé?' and the other women go, ‘Excuse me?' And Kris [Jenner] said, ‘Yeah, that's actually really how it's pronounced.'" Jimmy Fallon was shocked by the revelation and could not believe he has been pronouncing her name wrong for so many years.
Andy was later asked about his time with the Kardashian women. He said it was "wild" and "a trip going to the Kardashians' house" so he could interview them for his new upcoming show. Andy recalled "through all these gates" just to get to their front door. "I had to get a COVID test before I got there. And I said, ‘Oh you wanna give me the results of the COVID test?' They go, ‘Go to Khloé 's and if the second gate opens, you're negative,'" he revealed, adding, "And the gate open and I was like, ‘Alright, I don't have COVID. I'm good.'" Once Andy got through several gates and a COVID test, he was finally able to get into the home and sit down with the family. He mentioned their interview setup, calling the lighting "intense" and how "they looked so beautiful."
Andy's new E! series will air its first episode on March 25 at 9 pm EST. He will begin his first interview with Eric Nies from the first season of the MTV series, The Real World. It is unclear when Andy's interview with the Kardashians will air, but it will likely be one of the first. After all, the Kardashians are E! network royalty.
