What Among Us Colors InnerSloth Could Still Add | Screen Rant

0

The upcoming Airship update for Among Us will add a whole new stage and a plethora of new features to freshen the murder-mystery title's gameplay. This big Among Us addition is set to release on March 31st, 2021, making way for InnerSloth to plan even more expansions for its smash-hit party game. One of those additions has been revealed to be increasing the size of lobbies to support 12 to 15 players, which would make three-Impostor games more balanced. InnerSloth hasn't announced when it plans to launch that feature, but it would require the developer to add more astronaut colors.

There are currently 12 Among Us colors to choose from currently, which is more than enough since lobbies can hold a maximum of 10 players. Once 15 becomes the new cap, the developer would need to introduce at least three more shades to ensure there won't be any duplicates in any given round. InnerSloth already offers a wide color palette to choose from, but four shades should be considered in the future.

InnerSloth has actually already created a new color, Tan, that it has yet to add to the game because it wanted to give players an even number of color options (via Among Us Fandom). The developer will likely add Tan next as the character model has already been created. Still, many other unique colors should be considered once Among Us' lobby size is increased.

Periwinkle (Light Purple): Since Lime is essentially a lighter pigment of Green, the same could be done to Purple that's missing a lighter counterpart. There could be some clashing with Cyan, but the lavender-like color is muted enough to stand apart.

Peach (Light Orange): Peach falls somewhere between Red, Orange, and Pink. It isn't as bright as those shades, which would serve to distinguish it.

Maroon: Maroon is essentially a dark Red that could make a great addition so long as it's bright enough. Making it too dark could lead to some confusion with Brown.

Banana (Light Yellow): Banana is basically white with a yellow hue, which would make the astronaut almost appear as if it were glowing. The color's brightness would serve as its discerning characteristic.

There are countless other shades and pigments Among Us' developer InnerSloth could experiment with, but these four would be some of the easiest to tell apart. Once Tan is added, Among Us will need at least two more colors to get to 15, and if its developer wants to keep the selection even, it could add even more. It's unclear when it will happen exactly, but new astronaut colors will have to be introduced eventually.
