Body found in Qld flood waters identified

A body found in Queensland flood waters has been identified as 38-year-old David Hornman who was reported missing on Monday.

His work ute was spotted upturned in the Canungra Creek on Wednesday afternoon – and his body pulled from the vehicle by a swift water rescue team.

It remains uncertain why his vehicle was in the creek and the incident will be subject to a police investigation.

Queensland’s weather has largely cleared up following days of torrential rain, with the Bureau of Meteorology warning while flood warnings remain in effect for major river systems they have reached their peak.
