Nuggets Acquire Aaron Gordon on Deadline Day
The Denver Nuggets have acquired Aaron Gordon via trade with the Orlando Magic. Denver will send Gary Harris, RJ Hampton, and a first-round pick to complete the deal. Gary Clark will also accompany Gordon from the Magic in the deal. Gordon is clearly the centerpiece in the deal as he’ll bring his 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game over to the Mile High City.
In 2018, Gordon signed a four-year deal with Orlando worth $84 million. He’ll be under contract with Denver for one more year following this season.
The Nuggets have been busy on the trade deadline day as earlier, they acquired JaVale McGee from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With a 26-18 record, Denver is second in the Northwest Division but they’re ranked fifth in the Western Conference. They’ll hope to improve on last season’s performance that saw them reach the conference finals.
