Armenia’s economy ‘almost recovered’ in view of last year’s ‘longer February’ – minister

Armenia’s minister of economy has hailed the country’s overall economic activity as of last month, comparing the recorded dynamics with February 2020.

Citing the latest available official data, Vahan Kerobyan highlighted also an "economic recovery" in view of last year’s “leap year period”.

“The Statistical Committee has released the February economic activity index; it is -5.3%.

“Considering that last February was a day longer, Armenia’s economy can be said to have almost recovered. And that’s under conditions of a close-to-zero tourism.

“I reaffirm my goal [to secure] a double-digit economic growth,” he said in a public post on Facebook.
