Elvis Presley: Frank Sinatra’s songwriter didn't want 'pathetic' King to sing his song

ELVIS PRESLEY covered the Frank Sinatra track My Way in the 1970s just before he died, but the song's writer originally tried to talk him out of performing it. The writer, Paul Anka, later described the King's state as "out of control".
